Set Your Intentions

WHAT IS AN INTENTION

An intention could be a goal, desire, something you want or something as simple as being more kind and compassionate. Setting an intention is a way of achieving that goal with positive reinforcement, like meditating, a mantra. Repeat your intention over and over to yourself and when you can, say it out loud maybe while driving in your car.

I suggest and have read that others say the same thing, every morning and night say it out loud. Write it on paper and read it aloud. You’ve got to feel it in your bones, your heart, and your soul and know that it is yours for the taking.

WHAT YOU THINK YOU CREATE

Setting your intentions begins with your thoughts. Our thoughts are powerful. They say, what you think, you create. So try to think positive thoughts, positive thoughts are like sunshine. Sunshine is warm and makes us feel good, happy.

If you are a negative person, then you probably feel like dark clouds are hanging over you. Positive thinking will have to be a conscious decision and worked on throughout the day. It is something you have to practice for it to become a habit and a habit is formed in 21 days.

WHAT TO DO TO START SETTING YOUR INTENTION

IDENTIFY WHERE YOU ARE

When I decided to change and bring about a more positive outlook in my life I saw that I was a worrier. Thoughts of constant worry are negative. They take a hold of you and I felt like they were controlling me. I was living a fear-based life. I wanted to be free of worry, or at least worry less. What I needed was a new thought process and to learn to live in the present moment.

I learned that worry brought me absolutely nothing positive. Worry brings stress and stress can create illness. There are also physical ailments like Fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety and this may be your reality. They were mine, I had them all and take good care to maintain my mental health. The most important thing I realized is that when we worry we are not in the present moment. I was everywhere but the present moment. I was worrying about things that were not happening yet, but that may happen. Oh my god, this for me was absolutely exhausting.

SHARE YOUR INTENTION WITH SOMEONE YOU TRUST

I knew that I wanted to live a good, happy life. At this point in my life, I believed in something greater than me and I will call it God. It can be anything you choose, Buddha, the universe, Dalai Lama, for me it’s all beautiful. It is a power that is greater than us that I believe in.

I had and still have good people around me that are on the same path. We want a good quality of life, freedom from our negative thoughts so we practice some form of Spirituality that we believe in and practice.

Follow positive, loving, humble, spiritual-minded leaders. There are many and you can find some on my blog. I am sure that there are many more I have yet to discover.

I need to be around people that are on the same path as I am to teach me and guide me. We support each other with love and without judgment. With these friends, I share my goals. I share what I want to change. I share my intentions so that I am held accountable for them. If I stray from my intentions, they can rope me back in. This I need until it becomes a habit and then a way of life. It gets easier and easier. You will recognize when you are off track. It will not feel good and you will redirect yourself and your thoughts.

CREATE WITHIN YOURSELF A BEAUTIFUL LOVING PLACE

Creating a beautiful loving place within yourself will send out to the universe beautiful loving energy. God knows there is a need for more kindness and love out there. You have the power to change it one baby step at a time. Each day your sunshine and love that radiates from you will attract the same energy. It happens one person at a time and one step at a time. I promise it will feel absolutely amazing.

A GUIDED MEDITATION WILL HELP YOU TO SET YOUR INTENTIONS

When I started on my spiritual journey of setting intentions I watched and listened to guided meditations and read lots of books. I was amazed how it helped and how at peace I felt. This meditation is a good start. Sit back and enjoy with a open mind and heart.

I know you feel great now go share that love!
